Join us to explore the

Colorado Rockies

Dear Friends,

Apparently great minds think alike because both of us named our guiding companies with short names that include the word “Out”. Actually it isn’t really a coincidence because the driving force for both of our companies is essentially the same and that is to help people get outdoors. For Top Out Adventures the theme is to help people take on a new challenge, explore their limits and make some new friends and memories along the way. For We Out it is specifically about increasing diversity and representation in the outdoors and creating community thru adventure. We Out experiences are designed with various abilities, body types & backgrounds in mind.

It’s like we were made for each other!

Once we met in the Colorado Rockies last summer, we knew that we had to partner to bring urban explorers to enjoy the beautiful and inspiring mountains we both love. That is why we have dedicated the trip for the dates of July 22 - 26 in Leadville, CO for We Out explorers. We can’t wait to get out on the Colorado trails with you!

Trip Dates for 2022: July 22 - 26

Trip Overview:

We’ll have the house to ourselves in historic Leadville where mountain views surround us. During the day, we explore the trails and take in the beauty of Colorado. We’ll get to know each other through group activities and over home cooked meals prepared for us with love. If meditate and chill is more your thing, use the downtime to reflect, journal or just rest. It’s going to be a dope week full of community and exploration.

Accommodations:

The Ice Palace in Leadville, Colorado is a beautiful 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath Grand Victorian home just off the main street of Leadville, Colorado. As home base for our adventure, you will have a comfortable place to rest and hang out with your fellow adventurers. We make room assignments to make the most comfortable use of the space based on the group. If you come on the trip with a specific person, we will make every effort to put you in the same room. If you come alone, you may have the chance to get to know someone new. If there are any special considerations, we want to know about them, and we have a bag full of tricks to do our best to give everyone a great place to stay.

How to Get There:

We provide ground transportation to and from the Denver airport and Leadville and each day to the trails. You just book your own flight within specific time windows on the first and last day of the trip. We will send more information with contact information and details on how to connect with us at the airport after registration.

Route Information:

Each day we will select the route that is best suited to the interests and the capabilities of the group. We have permits for routes that range from 4 miles to 18 miles and 1,700’ of climbing to 4,500’. With our experience in the mountains and on these specific trails, we will pick routes that are just enough but not too much of a challenge. We want you to enjoy your day and be proud of what you accomplished. We will go over the next days route each night to let you know the plan and answer questions.

COVID Precautions

All participants are required to provide proof of a completed vaccination series or a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of arriving.  We will be following CDC guidelines for masks and maintaining social distancing.

Safety:

Client and crew safety is the most important priority for any Top Out Adventures trip. We will take every precaution possible to mitigate risks and be prepared in the case of an emergency situation. We have trained guides with medical first responder certification, GPS spot trackers and 2 way radios. We will go over safety protocols before our hikes.
